Girls: how would you feel?

If random a guy from your school (whom you've never talked to) who added you on facebook (you accepted the request)sent a simple "hi" and tried to chat with you...I personally (thinking from a girl POV :P) would find it weird...and a little creepy...please answer honestly...I'm a guy and I like a girl whom I've never talked to...and I think she has seen me around school, and I'm not looking for a relationship on facebook I just want a way for her to get to know who I am...we have mutual friends but I'm not that close with them so nobody can introduce us...please reply honestly...thanks
