Pregnancy Test..... And Dots?

My husband and I have been ttc for a year. I am due for my af tomorrow..... I couldnt wait any longer, so I just took a pregnancy test (an ept where you should get results 5 days before) and it worked like it should (the other lines you would get if it was negative were all dark), but instead of getting a solid + sign, I got a dark horizontal line with dots above it, where the vertical line should be.... I have a few pregnancy symptoms and Im going to retest in the am, but I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what their results were? Im going crazy wondering! Thanks.
