Even though you're not allowed to drink during labour in some hospitals I brought some cartons of apple juice with me. I drank one about every 30 minutes just to keep hydrated and my strength up - had to do it while the nurse was out of the room though. I found that I didn't use most of the stuff I brought with me. I was stupid enough to pack magazines and a book!! The hospital supplied a lot of stuff.
