Can anyone remember a kids show from the 80's the beginning is in a department store before it opens?

All I remember is that it was on very early and someone, maybe a security guard is carrying a mannequin up an escalator, and I think some of the employees are getting ready for the store to open and greeting each other, and I think it was on HBO. Please help, this is driving me crazy!
