If these verses'1cor.14:34-35' are not controversial, why are churchgoers so afraid to talk about them?

Sure but you can also find sick oppressive verses in the Koran and the Torah (not that I have anything but love for the Jews). So, what's your point ? Are you just now figuring out that theism isn't the most wonderfull thing since sliced bread or do you have a special axe to grind with a religion which is, compared to Islam, pretty tolerant ?
