How come Hulk Hogan was the idolised back in the 80s, 90s and up to the late 2000s, but now people hate him?

All over the internet people say he's a terrible wrestler now whereas his wrestling ability was always masked by his charisma and mic skills. Now they all say he's crap and all washed up and a wrestling promotion killer, why all of a sudden are people hating on him now?
