sounds normal to me, however if you were dating a girl and she became your girlfriend and you said this is my time that i need to be alone to be productive. you should at least give her a time or day that you will be back in touch with her. Plus give her an emergency contact number. try and make sure she understands it has nothing to do with her and that it is not that you don't want to spend time with her you just need some alone time to think and be alone.
