For major child development, does it matter go to UC or CSU school? how to choose betwwen UC and CSU?

The previous responder almost had it correct. The UC schools are research institutions and the CSU schools are teaching institutions, but the difference is not theory versus hands on education. Reseach institutions means that the professors spend most of their time doing research, teaching mostly graduate students, and some undergraduate courses. Professors at teaching institutions spend most of their time teaching courses (both undergraduate and graduate), and do research/write papers as they have time.
